Robert Trojan has been appointed chief executive officer of the CFA. "We are very pleased and excited to have Bob on our team as our CEO," said the association’s president, Bruce Sprenger. He added: "His energy for this role clearly complements his prior accomplishments in leadership and team building. Bob is well prepared to lead CFA having served in our industry, and is looking forward to working with our outstanding staff of professionals here in New York. I encourage all our volunteers, members and education foundation professionals to reach out to Bob and extend a personal welcome.” Prior to joining the association, Robert was the president of Financial Services Insights, LLC, a consulting firm specialising in strategy, operations, banking, credit risk management, and regulatory and legislative affairs. He also spent 19 years in various capacities at CIT, a $45bn financial services company and one of CFA's largest members. At CIT he held key positions in the organisation's global specialty finance businesses and also served as chief of staff and senior advisor to the vice chairman. Robert said: "Asset-based lenders and factors are key sources of working capital and growth financing, and play a critical role in supporting America's businesses. I look forward to engaging with CFA members to help them fulfill their mission. "I am very excited to be joining the CFA management team, and welcome the opportunity to work with all CFA members, volunteer leaders and staff as we lead the association to the next level.” Other Business Money News
