Utilising the new business jet facilities at London Southend Airport, Landmark Aviation will be offering increased access to the Olympic Park at Stratford and the City of London. Landmark Aviation is one of the world's largest fixed-based operators of business jets, with 52 bases across the USA, Canada and France. London Southend is the only UK airport with a direct mainline rail connection with the Games at Stratford, with up to eight trains running every hour from the new station. The airport is also located on two major dual carriageways, the A127 and A13, which lead to Stratford and on to central London. Southend’s new facilities include conference rooms and a number of different areas in which passengers and crew can relax before a flight. The new facilities form part of the £100m investment in the airport by owners the Stobart Group. The airport’s managing director, Alastair Welch, said: "Our shared passion for excellent customer service, plus the airport's new facilities coupled with the global reach of the Landmark network, means that London Southend is going to be introduced to a wide range of customers who will value the service and benefits we can offer over other London airports this summer.” Other Business Money News
